Examples for Configuring SSO with Salesforce as the SAML Identity Provider
These examples show you how to set up your Salesforce org as a SAML identity provider and integrate an external service provider as an external client app or connected app. Users can then log in to your org and access the service provider with single sign-on (SSO).

Important Connected apps creation is restricted as of Spring ‘26. You can continue
to use existing connected apps during and after Spring ‘26. However, we recommend using external client apps instead. If you must continue
creating connected apps, contact Salesforce Support.
