          Ignore Errors During Policy Execution

Allow a privacy policy to ignore object processing errors. When errors are ignored, the job session proceeds to the next object on the policy instead of stopping completely. This option is useful if validations or business logic produce errors that you know are safe to ignore.

          Required Editions

Available in: Developer, Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions. Requires the Privacy Center license.
          User Permissions Needed
To create, edit, and schedule privacy policies: Manage Privacy Center Policies
          Warning
Warning Ignoring object processing errors can potentially lead to accidental data loss or modification. For example, if your logic assumes that a record has been updated but then includes it in a later step, the record can be processed incorrectly. Consider the full impact of your policy before bypassing errors.

Before you begin: In Setup, on the Privacy Policy Settings page, turn on Allow policy configurations that ignore job errors and bypass automations.

To ignore all object processing errors with a particular policy, click Edit on the policy details page, and then select Ignore processing errors on all objects.

To ignore errors for selected policy objects:

          1. Add or edit an object.
          2. On the Add an Object page, select Ignore processing errors on this object.
          3. Complete the remaining object configuration steps and save your changes.
