Create a Permission Set for an Omnistudio Standard User

Create a Permission Set for an Omnistudio Standard User

Provision access for users who build and run Omnistudio components.

          Before You Begin

Confirm you have the Omnistudio permission set license. Go to Setup > Permission Sets and look for Omnistudio User in the list of permission sets.

          Warning
Warning Make sure that the user you're provisioning access for is authorized to create, modify, and delete Omnistudio components. If you want to provision read-only access, make sure you modify the procedure that follows to select only Read, View All Records, and View All Fields accesses where applicable.
          1. From Setup, enter Perm in the Quick Find box, then select Permission Sets.
          2. Next to the Omnistudio User permission set, click Clone.
          3. For the Label, enter Omnistudio Standard User or any other label of your choice. By default the API Name is the same. Click Save.
          4. Open the permission set you just created and click System Permissions.
          5. Make sure that both checkboxes are checked. If they're not, click Edit, select both checkboxes on the page, and save your changes. If you're intending for this permission set to be used for read-only users, you can let the Enables admin/developer to create new OS/DR/IP instances permission remain de-selected.
          6. Click Permission Set Overview to navigate back to the previous page.
          7. Click Object Settings and select the Omni Processes object from the list.
          8. Click Edit and in the Object Permissions section, provide all accesses. If you're creating a read-only user, only select the Read and View All Fields checkboxes.
          9. Save your changes.
          10. Repeat these steps for these objects:
            • Omni Process Compilations
            • Omni Process Elements
            • Omniscript Saved Sessions
