The Security Center Extension helps enhance data security and compliance. After
installing the Security Center Extension managed package, use it to find sensitive data and
classify it with a data-sensitivity category. You can then decide how best to secure that data
by using other Salesforce settings and features.
Required Editions
Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions
with the Salesforce Security Center add-on subscription.
Different users can use various features of the Security Center Extension to improve
security.
Who Sees What Explorer
The Who Sees What Explorer tab provides access to sensitive data and permission
assignments. Use this application to make sure that what users can see and do aligns with
the security principle of least privilege.
Data Classification
Use the Data Classification tab to find and classify sensitive fields, such as personal
information or financial data. For example, compliance officers can set custom levels,
categories, and then regularly revisit the application to make sure that new fields have
been properly classified.
Security Insights
The Security Insights tab helps you analyze the security posture and generates a
risk-prioritized list of security gaps. Security analysts, for example, can identify and
address risky configurations and deviations from best practices. Then, they can then
recommend enhancements that align settings with security policies.
By integrating these features, you can manage data security effectively and comply with
regulations.
