Configure Setup with Agentforce
Before you can use the Setup agent, you must enable both Agentforce and Setup with Agentforce.

- Check that you and all admins who will use Setup with Agentforce have the required permissions and access to Data 360 components. See Grant Permissions to Use Setup with Agentforce. Admins must refresh their browser for newly assigned permissions to take effect.
- Turn on Data 360 if it isn’t already enabled. Wait for Data 360 setup to finish before you continue. When Data 360 setup is finished, you see the “Your Home Org Details” heading on Data Cloud Setup Home.
- If you haven’t already, enable generative AI in your org and then enable Agentforce.
- If you previously created an agent by using the Agent for Setup tile or Enhanced Agent For Setup (Pilot) tile, delete this agent on the Agentforce Agents Setup page before you continue.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Setup with Agentforce, and then click Setup with Agentforce.

Enable Setup with Agentforce.
Important Only enable Setup with Agentforce after you enable Data 360 as described in Step 2. If Data 360 setup isn’t finished when you enable Setup with Agentforce, the agent doesn’t function as expected. - Refresh your browser.
- Optionally, enable Enhanced Conversation Recommendations for Setup with Agentforce. Assign the Collect User Engagement Data for Insight Calculation to your chosen admins.
Unlike other agent types, the Setup agent created under Setup with Agentforce isn’t visible or able to be customized in Agentforce Builder. You aren’t required to select which topics and actions are added to the agent, as all supported functionality is enabled by default.
