General Enhancements for Salesforce Suites
Starting with Spring ’26, all existing Starter and Pro Suite orgs that are connected to Microsoft Office 365 must transition to Microsoft Graph. All emails sent from Salesforce in paid Suites must originate from a verified domain. Explore dark mode theme for Starter orgs who are using Salesforce Lightning Design System 2 (SLDS 2).
Modernize Your Microsoft Office 365 Connection with Microsoft Graph API
Maintain a secure and reliable connection for Einstein Activity Capture by moving from legacy Microsoft Exchange Web Services (EWS) to the modern Microsoft Graph API for Microsoft Office 365. Upgrade your connection to make sure that your email and calendar syncing remains uninterrupted before Microsoft retires EWS in October 2026. If you’re setting up Einstein Activity Capture with Microsoft Office 365 starting in Spring ’26, you’re automatically authenticated by using Microsoft Graph. If you set up Einstein Activity Capture to use Microsoft Office 365 before Spring ’26, upgrade to Microsoft Graph by August 2026 to avoid service disruption.

Verify Your Email Domain Ownership to Send Emails in Starter or Pro Suite
As part of our commitment to email security and deliverability, Salesforce is moving to a mandatory domain verification model. Mandatory domain verification makes it so only authorized owners can send mail from your specific domain, protecting your brand's reputation.
Starting with Spring ’26, all emails sent from Salesforce in paid Suites must originate from a verified domain. Without a verified domain—either your own or Salesforce’s–from which to send emails, emails will fail to send. To verify your own domain, set up a DKIM key or verify your email domain directly in Salesforce. To send emails from the default Salesforce domain, go to the Deliverability page in setup and select Substitute unverified email sending domains.
Note for New Customers: This requirement is active immediately for all new orgs. Existing orgs have until April 27, 2026 to complete verification for domains used within the last 30 days.

Customize Your Themes with Dark Mode (Beta) for Starter Suite
You can now turn on dark mode for SLDS 2 themes in Salesforce Starter Suite orgs. An inversion of the traditional light color scheme, dark mode displays light-colored text and visual elements on a dark background. With dark mode enabled, your users can select if your org’s appearance is dark or light, or follows their computer settings. Enjoy a preview mode to test dark mode before activation and for custom themes.
To enable dark mode, from Advanced Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Themes and Branding and select it. Click New Theme, or click Dropdown icon next to an existing SLDS 2 theme and then select Edit. In the Dark Mode section, select Let users enable dark mode.
