How to create more than 50 Workflows on a single object
|Knowledge Article Number||000181391|
You may receive the error message "Exceeded maximum number (50) of active workflow rules or approval processes" when trying to deploy more than 50 Workflows from one Sandbox to another. However, you can create more than 50 workflows without increasing the limit in the first sandbox.
The system will allow you to exceed the Workflow limit when cloned from another Workflow. Here's how:
1. Clone the Workflow
2. Change the criteria and actions depending on the requirement.
3. Activate the Workflow.
Good to know: If you receive the error while deploying additional Workflows via Change Sets or Packages into the destination organization, you can request Salesforce Support increase the Maximum Number of Workflow Rules Per Entity.
