|Description||After installing Salesforce for Outlook (SFO) you may receive a script error message when the SFO login window appears.
|Resolution||To resolve this issue you can try the following
1- Clear the Internet Explorer cache /Browsing History
1- Close Salesforce for Outlook by right clicking on the SFO icon in the System tray and click on Exit
2- Close all your browsers and other applications and open Internet Options by clicking on Start and typing in Inetcpl.cpl and pressing Enter
* You can also press and hold down the Windows key on your keyboard + R (Run box will open) and then type in inetcpl.cpl and press Enter
3- Depending on the version of Internet Explorer you have on your machine, the options may vary.
On the General tab, in Browser history section, click on the “Delete” button and make sure the first box is unchecked, and the boxes for “Temporary Internet files and websites files”, “Cookies and website data”, and “History” are checked and then click on Delete
4- Close Internet Explorer
5- Run SFO and try to login
* If the steps above do not work, try resetting the Internet Explorer settings.
Please Note: Consult with your IT team if you are not too sure about proceeding further. Resetting Internet Explorer is not reversible and all previous settings are lost after the reset.
