Can the Closed Date on a Closed Case be Changed?

|Description||Can the date on a closed Case be changed or modified to an earlier date?|
|Resolution||The date of a closed Case cannot be modified. The Case can be opened then closed again, at which point the Closed Date would reflect the new Closed Date.
It is however possible to insert a new Case via API and set the Closed Date to any date. To do this, Audit Fields must be enabled in the organization and the user performing the insert must have the "Edit Read Only Fields" profile permission.
When inserting the new record, the ClosedDate field can be set to any date. Note that the ClosedDate field is insertable but not updatable. Additionally, the Status field of the record must be set to Closed during the insert, otherwise the operation will fail.
