Preheader doesn't render in a Marketing Cloud email
|Knowledge Article Number||000213120|
Preheader is the text following the subject line when previewing an email, and it can be edited on the HTML tab of the email editor. The HTML Preheader scans the email body for the open and closing head tag. If you're using AMPScript that uses a content area, it will not search the content area for these tags. It will only look into the HTML that is contained directly in the body of the email.
Enter both opening and closing head tagsTo resolve the issue, you'll need to add both opening and closing tags, like in this example:
<html> <head> </head> <body bgcolor="#ffffff" text="#000000"> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" bordercolor="#000000" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="600" align="center"> <tr><td><custom type="content" name="main"></td></tr> </table> <custom name="opencounter" type="tracking"> </body> </html>
