Account Engagement Sync Error: "Field Type Mismatch: [Upsert Batch ID: ########] Object: Lead/Contact"

Udgivelsesdato: Sep 30, 2025
Beskrivelse

The below sync error will occasionally show in the sync error table in Account Engagement:

'Field Type Mismatch: [Upsert Batch ID: ########] Object: Lead/Contact, Prospect failed as part of a batch sync. Please correct any other errors found and retry syncing.'

The ######## in the above message will be an alphanumeric string that represents the Upsert Batch ID value.

Løsning
Prospect records in Account Engagement sync with Salesforce in batches. This error occurs when one prospect hits an error when syncing with Salesforce and causes the remaining prospects in the batch to fail to sync. All those prospects that failed to sync because of the batch error will be placed in the sync error table with an error similar to the above.

The one prospect that actually caused the error will also have a sync error with a slightly different message. That message will have the same Upsert Batch ID value as the other failing prospects. Exporting the sync error table and using spreadsheet software to filter on the Upsert Batch ID value will be the easiest way to identify this problematic prospect. Below are steps to export the sync error table:

In pi.pardot.com:
1. Go to Admin >> Connectors
2. On Salesforce.com, click on the gear icon under Action column >> Sync Error
3. Click on Tools >> CSV Export >> Export Express >> Export

In Account Engagement Lightning App:
1. Go to Account Engagement Settings >> Connectors
2. On Salesforce.com, click on the gear icon under Action column >> Sync Error
3. Click on Tools >> CSV Export >> Export Express >> Export

For example, the below is a sample error from a single prospect that caused the whole batch to error out:

'Field Type Mismatch: [Upsert Batch ID: ########] Object: Lead, Field: Custom_Field_Name__c Prospect not synced because a field value: -0001-11-30T05:00:00.000Z does not match the format for the SFDC field type.'

For this example, the second half of the message indicates the issue:
1) The field in question is the prospect field that is mapped to the Salesforce Lead field with API name "Custom_Field_Name__c".
2) The issue is that the field value "-0001-11-30T05:00:00.000Z" does not match the Salesforce field type.

To fix this, track down that prospect and find the field and determine why the value is not appropriate for the Salesforce field type. After the value has been fixed on the Account Engagement record, follow the instructions from the Clear Prospect Sync Errors documentation for re-syncing those prospects.
