System-Generated Feed Posts Are Grouped Together in Salesforce Lightning Experience

Fecha de publicación: Jul 17, 2026
Descripción

In Salesforce Lightning Experience, when a record has multiple feed-tracked (system-generated) updates, Salesforce automatically groups them into a single bundled 'system' post. This behavior is distinct from Salesforce Classic, where each feed-tracked update is displayed individually. Feed Tracked changes and record updates appear grouped under a 'system' post when viewing records in Lightning Experience.

Record updates are also called system-generated posts. Salesforce automatically generates these posts when someone creates a record or changes a tracked field on a record.

How Lightning Experience Groups System-Generated Posts

  • When a record has more than 3 feed-tracked (system-generated) posts that do not have a comment, they are collected under the 'system' post.
  • If more than 4 posts are collected, a Show All Updates option becomes available, allowing you to view the details of each individual post.
  • Posts are sorted by Most Recent Activity, which means an older post may appear at the top of the Feed list if it has the most recent comment. This can sometimes contradict the order shown in the Record History (Field Tracking History).
  • You can switch to Salesforce Classic to see each post individually, without them being collected under the 'system' post.
  • It is not possible to delete or control the visibility of grouped system posts.
