Unable to see the Remove from Record button in Files Related List

Description

The Remove from Record button allows users to disassociate a file from a specific record without deleting the file entirely. This is useful when a file was attached to the wrong record or needs to be removed from one record while keeping it available in Salesforce Files. Users may not see this button if the feature has not been enabled for the organization.

Resolution

This feature allows users to remove files from records without deleting them from Salesforce entirely, which is useful for managing file associations across multiple records. If this feature is unavailable, Salesforce Support must enable the feature 'Remove Files from Records'.

Requesting Activation

To request this be enabled for your Organization, have your System Administrator create an Activations request with Salesforce Support.
