Audience: ISV Partners
This article provides guidance on Salesforce Large Data Volume (LDV) orgs, including how they are provisioned, their intended use, and the process for requesting an LDV org extension. For Trial Org extensions, please refer to this article.
Large Data Volume (LDV) orgs are special Salesforce Sandbox orgs designed to simulate large data volumes for testing purposes. Qualified AppExchange partners receive one LDV org per year as a program benefit, based on their ISV Tier, with storage capacities of 100 GB for 60 days or 365 days.
The LDV Org benefit is only available to ISV Partners (Exploration and above).
At the beginning of each partner year, qualified partners are entitled to one Large Data Volume (LDV) Org at no charge. The entitlement is based on the partner's current ISV Program tier and includes the following specifications:
For additional details, refer to Enterprise Scale Testing for Partners.
Partners can request an LDV Org via the Partner Community by following these steps:
For 60-Day LDV Orgs:
Partners who receive a 100GB LDV Org valid for 60 days will find their org status set to "Locked" once the expiration date passes. After this, users will no longer be able to access the LDV Org.
For 365-Day LDV Orgs:
Partners eligible for a 100GB LDV Org valid for 365 days (Summit Tier) can use their LSV org for the entire year. In the following partner year, they are eligible to request a new LDV org, provided they maintain their Summit Tier status.
To request an LDV Org extension:
Ensure you do not confuse the LDV Org extension with a Trial Org Extension when submitting a request. Trial Org Extension: Applies to trial orgs used for demonstrations or testing. These extensions are separate from the LDV sandbox entitlement and are processed under a different case type.
Log the LDV Org Extension Case with Product: Partner Program & Benefits and Topic: Demo and Partner Business Orgs. Once the case is logged, the Partner Support team will put the extension request across for the required approval and only once approved they can grant the requested extension.
Additional licenses in your LDV Org need to be reviewed by the Partner Support team and go through the required approvals:
