Unable to Send Email After the Activation of Einstein Activity Capture

Description

After enabling Einstein Activity Capture in Salesforce, you may see the error "Email couldn't be sent. Do you want to Resend or Cancel" when sending an email.

Resolution


If Einstein Activity Capture is already set up and you’re still getting an error message when sending an email, use the following steps to resync the connection:
 

One Salesforce administrator user to complete the following steps:

  1. Click the gear icon.
  2. Click Setup.
  3. Enter Permission Sets in the Quick Find box on the left and click it.
  4. Click Inbox With Einstein Activity Capture.
  5. Click Manage Assignments.
  6. Select the checkbox next to all of your impacted users then click Remove Assignments.
  7. Click OK in the pop-up.
  8. Click Done.
  9. Click Add Assignments.
  10. Select the checkbox by all of your impacted users' names then click Assign.
  11. Click Done.
 
 All users that you disconnected or reconnected from earlier must complete the following steps within their account:
  1. Click your avatar.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. In the Quick Find box on the left, enter Connected Accounts.
  4. Click Connected Accounts.
  5. If there’s an email address showing, click the Disconnect button then click Reconnect.
  6. If there’s no email address showing, click New Account and follow the on-screen prompts.
