Salesforce retired the SalesforceA for Admins app is officially retiring from service and was longer available for download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store on June 1, 2022. The removal of this app will only affect administrators who currently have the app installed. End-users do not use the app.
How did this change my org?
If an administrator already has the SalesforceA app installed on their mobile device, the app will remain there until manually deleted.
Neither Apple, Google, nor any other marketplace provider removes apps from users’ devices, even if the app’s publisher has removed the app’s marketplace listing. However, once Salesforce has removed the SalesforceA app from the marketplace, the app will no longer provide any functionality, and all existing users will be logged out.
The app’s functionalities already exist in the full Salesforce site and will continue to be supported there; therefore, the retirement of SalesforceA does not cause a loss of functionality.
What action did I need to take?
No immediate action was needed as this doesn't affect your Salesforce organization’s data, stability, or feature set. The app installed for system administrators no longer works and should use the salesforce site for the same functionality.
What happens if I don’t take action?
Nothing, as no action is needed. Administrators will be directed to the full Salesforce site to complete their administrative tasks.
How can you identify users that were impacted?
This change will impacted only system administrators.
