Salesforce is retiring Salesforce Elastic Services (also known as Salesforce Functions) and will continue to honor your existing subscription until your subscription end date.
We have decided that Heroku will be the primary platform for executing customers’ Java and JavaScript code.
What does this change mean for me?
You may continue using Salesforce Elastic Services until your subscription term ends. At the end of your subscription term, you will no longer have the ability to use Functions.
What action can I take?
Details on how to migrate your functions to Heroku are included in this github repository. This migration plan includes example code and open-source software to streamline the effort to minimize development effort.
What happens if I don’t take action?
Your Apex code that invokes Functions will fail, causing your Salesforce org to malfunction, likely impacting your users directly.
