"Error Code FAB9A2C5" and "Channel is in state TRANSIENT_FAILURE" Errors Occurs When Connecting To or Extracting Large Datorama Data Sources

Description

Unable to connect to large Datorama data sources. The following error code may be returned in the error message:
 

Error Code: FAB9A2C5

 

When attempting to generate an extract of the Datorama data in Tableau Desktop an error message may be returned stating the following:
 

Channel is in state TRANSIENT_FAILURE

 

Cause

This is a known issue with the Datorama JDBC driver. 

 

Résolution
As a workaround, reduce the amount of data pulled through the Datorama driver.
