Data 360: Use of Wildcard(*) in Filter Criteria in Segmentation

公開日: Dec 2, 2025
説明

Segmentation Operators in Data 360 lists the operators that are available in Data 360 segmentation. When configuring segmentation filters with some of the operators, usage of the wildcard (*) returns in unexpected results and error out with 'SEG_ERROR_UNKNOWN' error.

解決策

Instead of using the operators "Is Equal To = (*)" or "Exists As A Whole Word = (*)" in the condition, it's better to use the "Has Value" operator with some valid value. Why?

  • "Is Equal To  = (*)" and "Exists As A Whole Word = (*)": These can be too broad and may not yield the expected results. They can also lead to errors like "SEG_ERROR_UNKNOWN".
    - "Has Value": This checks if a field has any valid value, making it more straightforward and reliable.
    - Alternative: You can also use "Is Equal to" or or "Exists as a Whole word" with a specific value  instead of (*) for precise matching.
