Q: Why did the AI Associate certification exam retire? 
A: Salesforce recently launched Agentblazer Status, a new program designed to build and recognize your AI and Agentforce skills. As we embrace this new program, we need to evolve our exam catalog, specifically the AI Associate Certification, which retired February 2, 2026. Both Agentblazer Status and the Agentforce Specialist certification provide two exciting ways to build and validate your AI and Agentforce skills.

Q: When did the AI Associate certification exam retire? 
A: The AI Associate certification retired on February 2, 2026. 

Q: What is the last date to register for the AI Associate certification exam? 
A: The last day to register for the AI Associate certification exam was March 31, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MST. 

Q: How do I register for the AI Associate certification exam? 
A: Registration is now closed for AI Associate.

Q: What is the last day to take the AI Associate certification? 
A: The last day to take the AI Associate exam was May 1, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MST. 

Q: I’m already scheduled to take the AI Associate exam after May 1, 2025. What will happen to my exam registration? 
A: You should have received an email letting you know that you need to reschedule your exam for before May 1, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MST.  If you did not reschedule your exam to be completed by May 1, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MST, your exam was canceled. 

Q: I’m already certified. What will happen to my AI Associate certification? 
A: AI Associate certifications earned prior to May 1, 2025 retired on February 2, 2026. Your certification status on your Trailblazer profile will show as "Retired" and your status will not be visible on the Certification Verification page.

Q. What prompted the change from a free AI Associate certification to its retirement? 
A: Salesforce recently launched Agentblazer Status, a new program designed to build and recognize your AI and Agentforce skills. As a result, we needed to evolve our exam catalog, specifically the AI Associate Certification, which retired on February 2, 2026.

Q: Is there another way I can show my AI expertise? 
A: Yes. Agentblazer Status is a great way to build up and recognize your AI and Agentforce skills. As you advance from Champion to Innovator to Legend an Agentblazer badge will display on your Trailblazer profile. Additionally, you can validate your skills with the Agentforce Specialist certification, available for free as part of the AI for All initiative

 

Salesforce Partner FAQs

Q: Will the retirement of the AI Associate Certification impact my FY26 (2025) Partner Navigator Score? 
A: No. We aren’t updating statuses to “retired” until February 2, 2026 so your FY26 (2025) Partner Navigator Score will not be impacted. 

 

Q: Will Agentblazer Status count towards my Partner Navigator Score? 
A: No. Agentblazer Status does not count towards your Partner Navigator Score.

 

Q: Is there another AI Certification I can earn to highlight my AI expertise? 
A: Yes. You can earn the Agentforce Specialist Certification. This exam is free through December 2025 as part of the AI for All initiative

 

Q: Does the Agentforce Specialist Certification count towards my Partner Navigator Score?  
A: Yes. The Agentforce Specialist Certification counts towards Agentforce Navigator distinctions.
