Salesforce Certification Exam Reschedule and Cancellation Policy

 

Learn the policies for rescheduling and canceling a Salesforce exam for onsite or online delivery. Follow the step-by-step instructions to reschedule or cancel your exam.

Please note that exam reschedules are not permitted beyond one year from the original exam purchase date; candidates who have reached this limit must repurchase the exam to schedule a new attempt.

 

Testing Center (Onsite) Exam Reschedule and Cancellation Policy

NOTE: 48 hours is not two business days.

You must reschedule or cancel testing center registrations at least 48 hours before the scheduled exam start time. 

Reschedules and cancellations made more than 48 hours before the exam start time can be completed in your Pearson test taker account free of charge.

If you miss your scheduled exam and did not contact the Salesforce Help team before the exam start time, you will be considered a no-show and charged the full exam fee. If you paid with an exam voucher and are a no-show, the voucher is forfeited and cannot be reinstated. Online Exam Reschedule and Cancellation Policy

NOTE: 24 hours is not 1 business day.

You must reschedule or cancel online proctored registrations at least 24 hours before the scheduled exam start time. 

Reschedules and cancellations made more than 24 hours before the exam start time can be completed in your Pearson VUE (Pearson's online proctoring platform) test taker account free of charge.

Note for Certified Technical Architect (CTA) exams: The CTA reschedule policy differs — a minimum of 15 business days advance notice is required. See Review Board Reschedule and Cancellation Policy or contact Salesforce Help.

If you miss your scheduled online exam and did not contact the Salesforce Help team before the exam start time, you will be considered a no-show and charged the full exam fee.

 

Exceptions to the Reschedule and Cancellation Policy

Submit a case with Salesforce Help and provide supporting documentation if you meet one of these conditions:

  • Inclement weather prevents travel to the testing location.
  • Death in the immediate family.
  • Hospitalization or illness (include doctor information).
  • Technical or system failure (e.g. Pearson OnVUE outage or crash during exam).
  • Timezone error at time of booking.

 

How to Reschedule Your Exam

Follow these steps to reschedule your Salesforce certification exam.

  1. Sign in to your Trailblazer profile on Trailhead Academy.
  2. In the Upcoming section of the homepage, find the exam you want to reschedule.
  3. Select the exam to open the appointment confirmation page.
  4. On the appointment confirmation page, select the Modify Registration button.
  5. Pearson VUE opens. Choose the option to reschedule or cancel your exam.
  6. Follow the prompts. Confirm your time zone and change the exam date and time in the Pearson system.
  7. After rescheduling, you will receive an email confirmation at the address linked to your Trailblazer profile.

 

How to Cancel Your Exam

Follow these steps to cancel your Salesforce certification exam registration.

  1. Sign in to your Trailblazer profile on Trailhead Academy.
  2. In the Upcoming section of the homepage, find the exam you want to cancel.
  3. Select the exam to open the appointment confirmation page.
  4. On the appointment confirmation page, select the Modify Registration button.
  5. Pearson VUE opens. Choose the option to reschedule or cancel your exam.
  6. Follow the prompts in the Pearson system to cancel your exam.
  7. If you paid by credit card, allow seven business days for a refund. If you paid with a voucher, the voucher will be reinstated per the original voucher terms and conditions.
  8. After cancellation, you will receive an email confirmation at the address linked to your Trailblazer profile.
