About the Salesforce AI Associate Credential

The AI Associate Credentialing Exam focuses on the fundamentals and capabilities of artificial intelligence (AI) and data as they apply to CRM. The exam is intended for individuals from all backgrounds, including business leaders and professionals who may have knowledge of AI, whether they are beginners or individuals with more experience. This certification will validate foundational skills in responsible AI and data use, paving the way for advanced technical certifications in the same domain.

Audience Description: Salesforce AI Associate

Salesforce Certified AI Associate candidates should have a foundational knowledge of Salesforce's core capabilities and should be able to navigate Salesforce. The Salesforce Certified AI Associate Exam is for individuals who want to demonstrate knowledge, skills, or experience in the following areas.

  • AI basics, its different types such as predictive analytics, machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision
  • Salesforce's Trusted AI Principles, particularly in the context of CRM systems like Salesforce and its suite of products
  • The role of data quality, data preparation/cleansing, and data governance in training and fine-tuning AI models
  • Ethical and responsible handling of data, including privacy, bias, security, and compliance considerations
  • Ability to engage in meaningful discussions with stakeholders on how AI can be used to improve their business and differing scenarios, including identifying opportunities for AI-driven improvements and potential challenges

A candidate for this certification is not expected to:

  • Understand how AI models are integrated with Salesforce workflows and the security considerations associated with AI data and models.
  • Have an awareness of compliance requirements and data protection regulations in AI implementations.
  • Know how to customize AI features such as tailoring AI models, creating custom predictions, or incorporating additional data sources into their AI solutions.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of complex statistical techniques, advanced machine learning algorithms, or deep learning architectures.
  • Possess expertise in advanced data science, AI research, custom model development, complex AI architecture design, or large-scale AI deployment.
  • Have experience configuring or developing Salesforce products.

Purpose of This Exam Guide

This exam guide is designed to help you evaluate if you are ready to successfully complete the Salesforce Certified AI Associate Exam. This guide provides information about the target audience for the certification exam, recommended training and documentation, and a complete list of exam objectives—all with the intent of helping you achieve a passing score. Salesforce highly recommends a combination of on-the-job experience, course attendance, and self-study to maximize your chances of passing the exam.

Upon completion of your exam, but before the exam results, you will be invited to take a brief 10-question survey about your experience. At Salesforce, Trust is our #1 value. Protecting the security of Salesforce credentials is up to all of us. As a participant in the Salesforce Credentialing Program, you’re required to accept the terms of the Salesforce Credential and Certification Program Agreement.

Participants in the Salesforce Credentialing Program should:

  • Use Salesforce-approved study materials available on Trailhead to prepare for your certification exam, including certification exam guides, trailmixes/trails, and Trailhead courses.
  • Visit our Trailblazer Community to browse for additional training events and to collaborate with other Trailblazers by joining a Community Group and finding a study buddy and/or mentor.
  • Review and abide by the guidelines for online proctored and in-person certification exams.
  • Submit a case with the Credential Security team if you see any activity that undermines credential security.

Participants in the Salesforce Credentialing Program are prohibited from:

  • Sharing, using, or requesting certification exam questions and answers, or superbadge solutions
  • Offering, receiving, or asking for help during your certification exam
  • Engaging in any behavior that violates the Salesforce Credential and Certification Program Agreement

Consequences for violating the Program Agreement include but are not limited to:

  • Cancellation of upcoming certification exams
  • Removal or suspension from being able to complete online proctored exams
  • Suspension from taking any certification exams
  • Revocation of certifications and superbadges
  • Removal from the Salesforce Credentialing Program and the Trailblazer Community

Maintaining Your Salesforce Certification

There is no required maintenance for the Salesforce Certified AI Associate Exam. Continued learning is encouraged through the Trailblazer Community, Trailhead, and Trailhead Academy.
