The Salesforce Certified Education Cloud Consultant program is designed for consultants who have experience implementing Salesforce for Education solutions. The Salesforce Certified Education Cloud Consultant is able to successfully design and implement Salesforce for Education solutions that meet customer business requirements, are maintainable and scalable, and contribute to long-term customer success.

Audience Description: Salesforce Certified Education Cloud Consultant

A Salesforce Certified Education Cloud Consultant designs and deploys solutions that support customer business processes and requirements using Salesforce for Education. The candidate has experience designing solutions that optimize Education Cloud functionality and can lead the implementation of these solutions within the education industry. The candidate has experience consulting within the education industry and has expertise in Salesforce applications, including the knowledge needed to implement multiple applications in common customer scenarios.

The successful candidate has experience with common consulting practices such as solution design, problem solving, troubleshooting common technical and design challenges, facilitation skills, requirements gathering, application of best practices, ability to manage project timelines and deliverables, and implementation methodologies.

Salesforce Certified Education Cloud Consultants are interested in demonstrating their expertise as cloud computing implementation consultants, with a specialty in Education Cloud. The Salesforce Certified Education Cloud Consultant has the following experience.

  • 2+ years of Salesforce Platform experience
  • 1+ years of Salesforce implementation experience in the education industry
  • Implemented and supported at least one project involving Education Cloud
  • Partner or consultant experience is recommended

In addition, the Salesforce Certified Education Cloud Consultant has the following skills.

  • Experience managing implementation projects within the education industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding of internet technologies and cloud computing

  • Understand considerations, product compatibility, and the application of best practices.
  • Discuss integration implications and migrate data into an Education Cloud instance.
  • Ability to evaluate third-party Salesforce applications for use in an Education Cloud implementation.
  • Understand Salesforce license types.

  • Content: 60 multiple-choice questions and up to five non-scored questions
  • Time allotted to complete the exam: 105 minutes
  • Passing score: 67%
  • Version: Exam questions align to the Winter '24 release
  • Registration fee: US$200, JPY 30,000, plus applicable taxes as required per local law
  • Retake fee: US$100, JPY 30,000, plus applicable taxes as required per local law
  • Delivery options: Proctored exam delivered onsite at a testing center or in an online environment; find more information on scheduling an exam here
  • References: No hard-copy or online materials may be referenced during the exam.
  • Prerequisite: Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator Certification

This exam may contain up to five additional unscored questions to gather performance data. Unscored questions are randomly integrated and have no impact on your final exam result.

  • Determine the solution set that satisfies customer requirements (marketing and engagement, recruitment and admissions, student experience, and advancement and alumni relations).
  • Explain the Education Cloud solution for K-12 customers.

 

Education Cloud Configuration: 22%

  • Discuss the capabilities and considerations of Education Cloud, including compatibility with other Salesforce products and features.
  • Install and configure Salesforce for Education solutions.

 

Implementation Strategies and Best Practices: 18%

  • Facilitate a successful implementation (plan, gather requirements, design, build, test, document, deploy, and optimize).
  • Illustrate governance, change management, staffing, implementation strategies, deployment considerations, and adoption best practices including community resources for long-term solution success.

 

Solution Design: 19%

  • Evaluate the similarities, differences, and relationships between Salesforce for Education solutions account model considerations and standard Salesforce Account-Contact data models.
  • Design an appropriate and scalable solution for education customers.
  • Locate community and open-source solutions and resources.
  • Decide when to use Education Cloud, other Salesforce solutions, community open source solutions, and third-party applications.
