About the Salesforce Certified Business Analyst Exam

The Salesforce Certified Business Analyst Exam is designed for Business Analysts with Salesforce experience. The successful candidate understands business needs, captures requirements, and collaborates with stakeholders to support the development of Salesforce solutions which drive business improvements.

Audience Description: Salesforce Certified Business Analyst

A Salesforce Certified Business Analyst drives business improvements, and collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs and value in the context of the customer environment. The candidate has experience working in a particular industry or domain and supporting the business with the Salesforce Platform (that is, Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and so on).

The successful candidate has experience with common business practices such as eliciting requirements, mapping business processes, writing user stories, validating solutions, user acceptance testing, and facilitating virtual and in-person workshops. The candidate will be able to apply Salesforce business analysis best practices, guide collaboration between business stakeholders, act as a liaison between business and development teams, and understand the implications of various software development lifecycle methodologies.

The Salesforce Certified Business Analyst has the following experience.

  • 2 years of Business Analyst experience, including demonstrated success owning and delivering business process improvements
  • 2 years of Salesforce Platform experience

  • Version: Exam questions align to the Winter '25 release
  • Registration fee: US$200, JPY 30,000, plus applicable taxes as required per local law
  • Retake fee: $100, JPY 30,000, plus applicable taxes as required per local law

  • References: No hard-copy or online materials may be referenced during the exam.

This exam may contain up to five additional unscored questions to gather performance data. Unscored questions are randomly integrated and have no impact on your final exam result.
