CG Cloud Offline (iOS) — Third-Party App Deep Link does Not Launch from Custom Action

Description
Affected Product: Salesforce CG Cloud Offline — Mobile App
Symptoms:
  • A custom action/button configured with a third-party URI scheme does not launch the target application.
  • The action drawer closes but no app is launched.
  • The custom URI scheme works correctly when triggered from other iOS apps, confirming the URI scheme itself is valid on the device.
Root Cause:
The CG Cloud Offline iOS app enforces an allowlist for URI schemes that can be used to redirect to third-party applications. Custom URI schemes not present in this allowlist are silently blocked by the platform.
 
Résolution
There are two recommended paths:
  1. Recommended Alternative — Universal Links:
    As a scalable workaround, consider migrating from custom URI schemes( https:based deep links). Universal links use standard HTTPS URLs. 
  2. Voice of the Customer (VOC) / Allowlist Addition:
    The third-party app's URI scheme may get added to the CG Cloud app's URI allowlist to enable redirection. Since there are limits on how many apps can be added to the allowlist, customers should submit a Voice of the Customer (VOC) request to have their URI scheme evaluated and added in a future.
