About the Salesforce Certified Omnistudio Consultant Exam

The Salesforce Omnistudio Consultant Certification is intended for individuals who have experience consulting on building cloud applications using Omnistudio tools in a customer-facing role. Candidates are able to explain the purpose of Omnistudio tools. They can also design solutions using Omnistudio tools that meet customer business requirements, are maintainable and scalable, and contribute to long-term customer success. 

Audience Description: Salesforce Certified Omnistudio Consultant

The Salesforce Certified Omnistudio Consultant candidate is interested in consulting on digital transformation projects that rely on Omnistudio tools and seeks to demonstrate their knowledge of how to apply Omnistudio tools to meet business requirements.

The Salesforce Certified OmniStudio Consultant candidate possesses facilitation and consultative skills at a technical level. The consultant candidate may work internally as an employee or as a consultant. The candidate has at least 2 to 3 years of Salesforce experience in one or more of the roles below.

  • Business Analyst or Business Consultant
  • Consultant/Senior Consultant
  • Solution Architect
  • Delivery Manager/Director
  • Project, Product, or Program Manager
  • UX Designer

Salesforce Certified Omnistudio Consultant candidates should be able to identify the business requirements and determine which of the Omnistudio tools should be used to implement them. 

The Omnistudio Consultant candidate has the experience, skills, and knowledge outlined below: 

  • Be familiar with CRM business logic and processes
  • Be familiar with Salesforce Service, Sales, and Experience Clouds as well as Sales & Service lifecycles
  • Understand the benefits and limitations of all Omnistudio and Business Rules Engine tools: 
    • Flexcards
    • Omniscripts
    • Integration Procedures
    • Omnistudio Data Mappers
  • Understand the benefits of using the available prebuilt applications
  • Have the ability to gather business requirements and apply the tools to meet the requirements and follow best practices
  • Can analyze which changes are required for UX/UI for Cards or OS
  • Develop the implementation plan for the solution that has been designed
  • Understand basic implementations of Omniscript, Omnistudio Data Mappers, Flexcards, Integration Procedures, Expression Sets, and Decision Matrices
  • Have the ability to download and adapt an Industry Process to an org/sandbox
  • Customize and implement UX/UI to meet customer requirements

A candidate for this exam is not expected to implement the solution designed or troubleshoot issues related to the solution itself. The candidate will not be required to write code, customize development, configure the application, or analyze performance. They will also not be expected to have programming or designer skills (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, APEX, etc.) or have experience with Salesforce Platform security configurations.

This exam guide is designed to help you prepare for the Salesforce Certified Omnistudio Consultant Exam. This guide provides information about the target audience, recommended training and documentation, and a complete list of exam objectives. Salesforce highly recommends a combination of on-the-job experience, and self-study to maximize your chances of passing the exam.

About the Exam

Here are details about the Salesforce Certified Omnistudio Consultant Exam:

  • Content: 60 multiple-choice/multiple-select questions and up to five unscored questions*
  • Time allotted to complete the exam: 105 minutes
  • Passing score: 67%
  • Version: Exam questions align to the Spring '26 release
  • Registration fee: USD 200, JPY 30,000, plus applicable taxes as required per local law
  • Retake fee: USD 100, JPY 30,000, plus applicable taxes as required per local law
  • Delivery options: Proctored exam delivered onsite at a testing center or in an online proctored environment; find more information on scheduling an exam here.
  • References: No hard-copy or online materials may be referenced during the exam.
  • Prerequisite: None

This exam may contain up to five additional unscored questions to gather performance data. Unscored questions are randomly integrated and have no impact on your final exam result.

 

Exam Outline

The Salesforce Certified Omnistudio Consultant Exam measures a candidate’s knowledge and skills related to the following objectives. 

Omnistudio Fundamentals: 16%

  • Describe the Omnistudio solution and common customer use case scenarios in different industries (telco, energy, healthcare, public sector, etc.).
  • Determine a projects needs by evaluating a customer's requirements, assumptions, risks, and constraints
  • Explain the purpose of Flexcards, Omniscript, Integration procedures, and Data Mapper
  • Explain Managed Package Runtime vs. Standard Runtime, Automatic Upgrades, and Manual Intervention Upgrade.
  • Explain Omnistudio license requirements, Permission Set Licenses and Permission Sets

Flexcards: 18%

  • Recommend the selection of the most efficient data source method for a FlexCard based on performance requirements and data complexity - be able to explain the functionality of the Flexcard setup properties.
  • Guide in designing Flexcards to display relevant information from multiple data sources using existing or available elements (inputs, menu, data tables, charts, etc.) ensuring the data is presented clearly and logically based on the user's role and context.
  • Recommend the implementation of necessary actions (e.g., links, modals, launching Omniscripts, calling Integration Procedures, Child Flexcards) on Flexcards to drive user workflows and business processes.
  • Advise on utilizing conditional rendering and state variables to dynamically adjust card appearance or content based on the underlying data or user interaction.
  • Prescribe the optimal placement and methods for embedding Flexcards within Salesforce (e.g., component, tab, console view) to meet strategic user enablement goals.
  • Discuss best practices for Flexcards.

Omniscripts: 17%

  • Recommend effective multi-step, conditional, and branched Omniscript designs that align with defined business processes and user journeys, including multi-language support.
  • Provide guidance on the appropriate Data Mappers and Integration Procedures to use within an Omniscript to efficiently fetch, transform, and save data to meet specific business outcomes.
  • Recommend the proper components to be used to respond to business needs (Steps, Blocks, Inputs, Display Functions, Formulas, etc.).
  • Advise on leveraging LWC (Lightning Web Component) Embeds and Custom/Standard Components within Omniscripts, including Child Omniscripts for reuse, or Flexcards to enhance the user experience and maintain corporate branding.
  • Prescribe the implementation of robust validation rules, error messages, and conditional steps to guide users and manage unexpected outcomes or data inconsistencies.
  • Discuss best practices for Omniscripts.

Integration Procedures: 17%

  • Provide guidance at a high level on the configuration and management of HTTP Actions within an IP to securely connect to and process data from external REST/SOAP endpoints, including authentication and request/response mapping.
  • Explain, dependent upon customer use case, the configuration and management of HTTP Actions within an integration procedure to securely connect to and process data from external REST/SOAP endpoints, including authentication and request/response mapping.
  • Recommend approaches for strategically utilizing Data Mapper Transform, Set Values, and Response actions within an integration procedure to transform, filter, and structure data before sending it to the client-side component.
  • Discuss best practices for Integration Procedures.

Data Mappers: 17%

  • Differentiate and recommend the correct Data Mapper type (Extract, Turbo Extract, Load, Transform) based on the specific business need.
  • Explain the possibilities of complex mapping, filtering, and data manipulation rules, utilizing functions and formulas to ensure data accuracy and standardization.
  • Describe the techniques to optimize Data Mapper performance, such as reducing the number of queries, efficient filtering, relationship queries, caching, and avoiding unnecessary data mapping.
  • Explain how Data Mapper Loads handle Salesforce ID mapping, upsert logic, and error management during data creation or updates.
  • Discuss best practices for Data Mappers.

Best Fit Solutions: 15%

  • Justify and recommend architectural choices, demonstrating how Omnistudio components fit into the overall Salesforce and enterprise system landscape.
  • Recommend strategies for performance optimization strategies across all components (Omniscript load time, IP execution, Data Mapper queries) to ensure scalable and efficient solutions.
  • Provide guidance on the appropriate Data Mappers and Integration Procedures to use within an Omniscript to efficiently fetch, transform, and save data to meet specific business outcomes.
  • Recommend practices for establishing an effective governance model for development, testing, and deployment processes, including change management and documentation standards for Omnistudio artifacts.
  • Guide in the creation of a Conceptual Model, Logical Model, and Physical Model to support the business solution, including recommending optimal object design (standard vs. custom) to support Omnistudio artifacts.
