The Salesforce Certified Tableau Next Consultant exam is designed for practitioners who implement and maintain scalable analytics solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem. This certification validates the candidate’s ability to translate data to insights by leveraging Data Cloud, Semantic Data Models, and Tableau Next capabilities.

Audience Description: Salesforce Certified Tableau Next Consultant

The Salesforce Certified Tableau Next Consultant candidate typically has experience as a data analyst, business intelligence consultant, or Salesforce architect. The candidate should be experienced in navigating both the Salesforce core platform and the Data 360/Data Cloud architecture.

The minimally qualified candidate (MQC) possesses the following experience:

  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Setup, specifically user management, permission sets, and Lightning page configuration.
  • Practical knowledge of Data Cloud (Data 360), including data streams, DMOs, and batch data transforms.
  • Experience building and deploying Tableau Next dashboards and embedding them within Salesforce Lightning pages or Slack.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI concepts, including natural language processing for data prep (Draft with Einstein) and agent readiness.

The MQC is capable of performing the following tasks:

  • Setting up Workspaces and managing content sharing/collections.
  • Building and refining Semantic Models, including joins, metrics, and field hygiene for AI agents.
  • Configuring Analytics Agent and calibrating Q&A through verified questions and business preferences.
  • Implementing Environment Migrations using data kits between sandboxes and production.
  • Establishing Row-Level Security (RLS) and object-level governance.

  • Content: 60 multiple-choice questions and up to five unscored questions
  • Time allotted to complete the exam: 105 minutes
  • Passing score: 65%
  • Version: Exam questions align to the July 262.11 release.
  • Registration fee: USD 200, JPY 30,000, plus applicable taxes as required per local law
  • Retake fee: USD 100, JPY 15,000, plus applicable taxes as required per local law

  • References: No hard-copy or online materials may be referenced during the exam.

This exam may contain up to five additional unscored questions to gather performance data. Unscored questions are randomly integrated and have no impact on your final exam result.

  • Explain how to assess and ensure Agentic readiness.
  • Understand how the Analytics Agent enables users to explore data and generate insights.
  • Understand how the Analytics Agent delivers proactive data alerts and notifications.

Embedding, Cross-Cloud, & Interoperability: 20%

  • Understand how Tableau Next integrates with Salesforce analytics platforms.
  • Explain how Tableau Next assets are surfaced within user workflows across platforms.
  • Understand how Tableau Next Apps for Salesforce and Marketplace offerings accelerate time to value.
  • Describe tools and API available for developers.

Basic Setup & Admin: 10%

  • Explain how to activate and manage Tableau Next features.
  • Identify and apply appropriate access to enable users.
  • Describe how to activate Agentic Analytics for users.

Visualizations & Dashboards: 15%

  • Apply visualization and dashboarding best practices to design user-friendly Tableau Next assets.
  • Explain how to configure actions within Tableau Next.

Managing Workspaces & Orgs: 10%

  • Understand how to deploy and manage a Personal Org.
  • Explain how to manage and share Tableau Next assets.
