          Connect an Agent to Slack

          Connect an Agent to Slack

          Collaborate with Agentforce Employee agents in the same place where your team collaborates. Add the Slack connection to your agent and then finish setting up the agent in Slack.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions. Required add-on licenses vary by agent type.

          To connect an Employee agent to Slack:

          1. Connect Salesforce and Slack.
          2. In Agentforce Builder, add the Slack connection to your agent. Or, in the legacy builder, install the Slack external client app and then add Slack as an external app in your agent’s Messaging connection.
          3. Give your users access to your agent and then activate it. When an agent interacts with a user in Slack, the agent respects the user’s Salesforce licenses, permissions, and other access controls.
          4. If you have a Pro or Business+ Slack subscription, install your agent in your Slack Workspace.
            1. On the left-hand sidebar, hover over Admin and then select Manage Agentforce.
            2. Next to the agent name, click Review agent. Review the agent’s permissions and then click Install agent.
          5. If you have an Enterprise Slack subscription, install your agent in one or more Slack Workspaces.
            1. On the left-hand sidebar, click Home and then click your Slack organization name.
            2. Hover over Tools & Settings and then select Organization settings.
            3. Click on Salesforce and then click Agentforce.
            4. Next to the agent name, click Review Agent. Review the agent’s permissions and then click Install Agent.
            5. Select the workspaces that you want to add the agent to and then click Add to workspaces.
          6. Optionally, edit the agent’s profile.
            1. On the left-hand sidebar, click Agentforce.
            2. Select the Managed by you tab.
            3. Next to the agent name, click the three dots icon and then select View Agent Profile.
            4. Edit the profile fields that you’d like to change and then click Save.
