            View Performance Insights in Prompt Builder

            Evaluate key generation metrics like response time, token usage, and masked values directly in Prompt Builder to understand how your prompt runs.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Lightning Experience
            Available in: Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions with the Einstein for Platform, or Einstein or Agentforce for Sales or Service add-on, or Agentforce Foundations
            User Permissions Needed
            To create and manage prompt templates in Prompt Builder:

            Prompt Template Manager permission set

            • Manage Prompt Templates
            • Execute Prompt Templates

            OR

            Customize Application permission set

            Use the Performance Insights panel to gain transparency into what processing occurs behind the scenes when you test a prompt template.

            1. In the Prompt Builder canvas, create a prompt template.
            2. Click Preview.
            3. If applicable, enter any inputs needed to preview the prompt, and click Preview. The Performance Insights panel opens. From the panel, you can view the generation's response time, token usage, and masked values.
            4. Click a metric to see a detailed breakdown within the panel.
