          Configure the External Object

          Now that the search information is identified and the data available, you can make it available to the Community User Profile.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience
          Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions
          User Permissions Needed
          To create and edit an external data source: Customize Application
          1. In Setup, in the Quick Find Box, enter Permission Sets, and then select Permission Sets.
          2. Edit or create a permission set for the federated search external object.
          3. Click Object Settings in the Apps section.
          4. Click the name of the new object you created in Step 10 of Create the External Object
          5. Click Edit and select Enabled in the Object Permissions section.
          6. Click Save.
            Now the object is readable, but you still have to assign privileges to the Community User Profile so Site Members can see the results.
          7. Go to your site Administration settings in Workspaces.
          8. Select Members.
          9. Select the appropriate profiles and assign them the new permission set.
          10. Click Save.
