In Einstein Search, you can define explicit search filters that narrow the results based
on certain criteria. To further tailor the search experience for specific users, you can
customize a default explicit search filter based on a profile for an object. For example, you
can customize the search filters that are available for the Contacts object specifically for the
Contract Manager profile.

To customize filters:
Customize Application AND View Setup
You can define the default explicit search filters using the Search Layout settings. To
override a default explicit filter for a specific profile, use Search Manager.
Note If you created customized search filters for the Knowledge object
prior to the Winter '25 release using the Search Layout settings, you must reconfigure your
customizations using Search Manager. Customizations created before Winter '25 revert to the
default filters.
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Search Manager, and
then select Query Configurations.
In the Name column, select the filter configuration that you want to customize.
On the Filters tab, move fields between Available Fields and Selected Fields.
Save your changes.
Add the filters to your site.
To apply the customized explicit filters for LWR Sites, use Experience
Builder.
To add the filters to the Knowledge sidebar, use Lightning App Builder.
