          Filter Search with Rules

Filter out irrelevant results before your users see them by adding rules to a search configuration. Rules are hidden filters that define the scope of the search results to show.

          Required Editions

Available in: Einstein Search in Lightning Experience
          User Permissions Needed
To use Search Manager: Customize Application AND View Setup
          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Search Manager, and then select Query Configurations.
          2. Click a configuration.
You need a configuration to define rules. See Target a Search Configuration for a Channel.
          3. In the Objects list, select an object. If you already have one or more rules defined, click Add Rule
          4. Select a field, operator, and value.
To appear in the search results, a result must match every rule. For example, if your users only want to see active cases, define a rule in the Case object. Select the Status field, the Not Equals operator, and the Closed value.
          5. Save your changes.

          The rule is immediately applied.
