CRM Analytics Direct Data for Data 360 Tips and Limitations

CRM Analytics Direct Data for Data 360 Tips and Limitations

It helps to be familiar with these tips and limitations when working with Direct Data for Data 360.

Tips for Working with Direct Data for Data 360

To improve the performance of dashboards based on Data 360 queries, apply these design principles:

          • When possible, create a Data 360 Calculated Insight for complex metrics before using them in Direct Data for Data 360. To avoid additional query times processing joins, include all columns you plan to use in dashboard visualizations or tables.
          • Limit the number of queries on a single dashboard page. Instead, spread queries across multiple pages.
          • Avoid complex queries that can increase query times. You can also run the dashboard inspector to monitor and track query times.

Direct Data for Data 360 Limitations

These features aren’t available with Direct Data for Data 360.

          • Security predicates and inherited sharing rules
          • Export data to CSV or Excel files
          • Filter data by fiscal calendar
          • Notifications, subscriptions, and CRM Analytics Watchlists
          • Dataset actions
          • Search insights on data
          • Einstein Discovery
          • Compact Form v1.0
          • Migration via change sets

Keep these limitations in mind when working with CRM Analytics Direct Data for Data 360.

          • Experience Cloud supports widgets that use Data 360 live connectors, and does not support Snowflake and BigQuery live connectors.
          • Not all dataset functions are available in Data 360 direct data compared to CRM Analytics datasets. Specifically, the Percentage of Group, Rank Within Group, and Running Total functions and all of the time series functions aren’t available.
          • The dashboard repeater widget doesn’t support dashboard filters. This widget displays date values with both date and time, instead of just the date.
          • Bar charts don’t support conditional formatting.
          • Because there isn’t a stored dataset for direct data, users can’t change labels in the Show Fields modal.
          • Advanced custom SQL queries containing subqueries or Common Table Expressions (CTE) don’t work as expected.
          • Data updates from Data 360 batch transforms can only be scheduled for hourly and daily updates, where CRM Analytics recipe schedules can refresh data every 5 minutes.
