Connect and Reorganize Nodes or Branches in a Recipe

Connect and Reorganize Nodes or Branches in a Recipe

In CRM Analytics, connect disconnected nodes or branches to join or append data from any node to any other node in a Data Prep recipe. You can also create a branch at an intermediate node, and join or append it to another path in the recipe.

          1. To create a branch and join or append it to another path, hover over a node to see the Branch button (Branch button). Then drag the Branch button on top of a node in the other path.
Drag the Branch button on top of the node.

In the Connect Nodes box, select whether to join or append the data.

The Connect Nodes box shows a Join and Append option.
          2. To join or append data to another node, drag the Add Node button (Add Node button) for a node or a Branch button on top of the predecessor.
Drag the Add Node button on top of the Account predecessor node.

Then select whether to join or append the data in the Connect Nodes box. This graph joins aggregated account data back to the account records.

The Aggregate Node is joined to the Account predecessor node.
          3. To make the flow of data easier to view, reposition the recipe nodes in the graph.

Select and move individual nodes, or drag your mouse to select as many nodes as you want. Pull the group of nodes around to rearrange, or delete them all at once.

Select multiple nodes simultaneously to move or delete them as a group.

For example, you can move upstream nodes after a downstream node in the graph, where nodes flow right to left.

The data from the input nodes flow left and the remaining nodes flow right.
