Schedule, Run, and Monitor Data Sync

Schedule, Run, and Monitor Data Sync

In CRM Analytics, you can schedule sync to run automatically, manually run a sync, and monitor a sync's progress, all in the data manager.

          Important
Important If you manually enable Data Sync, run sync for your Salesforce objects, and make sure that it completes before your dataflow’s next run. Dataflows with sfdcDigest nodes fail until sync has run for the first time.
          Note
Note Datasets created for data from outside Salesforce are deleted automatically after no less than 30 days. If any other features depend on these datasets, schedule the connections to update at least every 30 days.
          • Run Data Sync Manually
Run data sync manually the first time to make the data available in CRM Analytics to build recipes. Schedule subsequent syncs to regularly update the data.
          • Schedule Data Sync to Run Automatically
To ensure that the latest source data is loaded into datasets, schedule data syncs to pull data into CRM Analytics before the corresponding recipes. You schedule data sync for each connection, where all objects under the connection sync at the specified time, and not individual objects. To sync objects from the same data source on different intervals, create multiple connections to the data source, and set a unique schedule for each connection.
          • Monitor a Data Sync Job
Monitor the progress of CRM Analytics data syncs in Data Manager.
          • Set Data Sync Notifications
Set Data Sync notifications to receive an email notification when a CRM Analytics sync job has warnings, when sync fails, or every time the sync finishes.
