Considerations and Limitations for Result Reuse in Data 360 Live Queries

Considerations and Limitations for Result Reuse in Data 360 Live Queries

Keep these considerations and limitations in mind before reusing results for Data 360 live queries.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions

          Considerations

          • When results are reused, dashboards show a Last Refreshed timestamp for query results.
          • Data 360 handles standard data updates. But when you turn on the reuse results setting, queries with date literals or volatile functions are reused during the timeout period without querying the database.
          • To verify result reuse, check a query's response status to see if it came from a previous execution. You can also view the specific reason for the stale response, such as "uses volatile functions”.

          Limitations

          • Dashboards with both legacy SQL and Data 360 SQL queries sometimes show inconsistent results.
          • Only compact form and Data 360 SQL queries reuse results. Legacy free-form queries don't use this setting.
          • Queries modified by faceting, sorting, or filters return fresher results than the original query because they trigger a new computation instead of reusing a previous result.
          • Exported data reflects the same freshness as the dashboard. You can't override these settings during export.
