Before creating an app from the Adoption Analytics template, configure your org to
collect the necessary data. The app collects logs that track how often users open CRM Analytics
apps, dashboards, and lenses. If you have the CRM Analytics Plus or CRM Analytics Growth
license, your app includes Analytics log data. Your app includes Event Monitoring bundle data if
you also have the Event Monitoring license.
Required Editions
Available with CRM Analytics, which is available for an extra cost in
Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions. Also
available in Developer Edition. All app users have a CRM Analytics Plus or
CRM Analytics Growth license.
User Permissions

To create and manage the Adoption Analytics app:
Access Adoption Analytics Templates and Apps
AND
Manage CRM Analytics
Templated Apps
To use the Adoption Analytics app:
Use CRM Analytics Templated Apps
From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Event, and then select
Event Monitoring Settings.
Turn on View event log data in analytics apps and
Generate event log files.
In the Quick Find box, enter Analytics, and then select
Settings.
Select Extract Adoption Analytics Metadata via Dataflow.
Save your changes.
