Existing templates that you or other CRM Analytics admins created are manageable from
CRM Analytics Studio. You can update, decouple from source apps, and delete templates.
Before they can be deleted, templates must be decoupled from their source app.
Required Editions
Available in Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience.
Available with CRM Analytics, which is available for an extra cost in
Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited Editions. Also available in
Developer Edition.
User Permissions
Needed
To create and manage templates:
CRM Analytics Growth permission set license with Manage CRM Analytics Templated
Apps user permission
Note Managing templates isn’t applicable for CRM Analytics Templates for Prebuilt Apps. CRM
Analytics delivers these templates and they can’t be updated or deleted.
Navigate to Analytics Studio.
Click All Items in the left panel, then click
Templates.
To update your template after modifying your source app assets.
On the right of the template, click .
Click Update. This option only appears if your template has a
source app.
To delete your template, decouple it from the source app first.
On the right of the template, click .
Click Decouple App.
Review the next screen. It warns you that decoupling an app from its source permanently
disables app updates. To continue with the action, click Decouple. If
not, click Cancel.
On the right of the template, click
again.
Click Delete. The next screen warns you that deletes are final and
can’t be recovered. To continue with the action, click Delete. If
not, click Cancel.
