Before you create an app, make sure that:
- You have at least one record for each of the Opportunity, Account, Forecasting Item, Forecasting Type, User, and UserRole objects.
- The Analytics Integration User has the appropriate Salesforce field-level security to view the fields used in the app.
- From the Analytics tab or Analytics Studio, click Create and then select App.
- Select the Revenue Operations Analytics template to open the guided flow.
-
If you have a Revenue Operations Analytics app, choose whether you want to base this
app on an existing one or create another.
The guided flow checks that your org meets the minimum requirements.
-
If your org meets the minimum requirements, click Looks good,
next.
If the requirements aren’t met, check the feedback.
- If you use a different field than amount to track the total opportunity value, select the field that you use, and then click Looks good, next.
- Name and save your app.
-
To create snapshots of your opportunity data for period-over-period comparisons,
schedule your app to refresh.
The Revenue Operations Analytics app creates two dataflows, one to process the revenue data and another for opportunity data snapshots. A refresh syncs both dataflows. Select a time outside normal work hours so that the data refresh doesn’t interrupt business activities. See Schedule Data Refresh for a CRM Analytics App.
The Revenue Operations Analytics app generates an Einstein Discovery story to predict ways to maximize your sales team’s win rates. The story contains insights on the top revenue drivers—the factors that have top positive and negative impacts on the forecast. The AI or machine learning model is natively generated at app creation.
