          Tableau Next Considerations, Guidelines, and Limits

          Considerations are factors to understand before working with Tableau Next. Guidelines define best-practice recommendations to improve your use of Tableau Next for optimal performance. Limits are boundaries beyond which features are unavailable or usage billing charges are applied.

          Required Editions

          View supported editions.

          Localization Limitations

          Tableau Next is localized with these exceptions.

          • Tableau Next offers limited language support. For a complete list of supported languages, see the Analytics Cloud section of User Interface Language Support.
          • Included apps, metric insights, and Agentforce features aren’t multilingually supported.

          Tableau Next provides internationalization support with these exceptions.

          • To see translated labels, set both the locale and language.
          • Data sources aren't modified for localization or internationalization.
          • Data sources can have a single locale specified in the metadata, including data models and process definitions. Their locale isn’t overridden by individual user locale settings.

          Workspace Considerations and Limits

          Consider these limits when working with workspaces in Tableau Next.

          Personal Org Limits

          Consider these limits when working with Personal Orgs in Tableau Next.

          Concierge: Analytics Q&A Limits and Considerations

          Single Semantic Model for Metrics Metrics must be based on a single semantic model.    
          Supported on Metric Details and Dashboards Views Concierge: Analytics Q&A works in multiple surfaces in Tableau Next and Salesforce 360. For more information, see Supported Questions and Surfaces for Concierge: Analytics Q&A.    
          Unsupported on Data Lake Objects (DLOs), logical views, or unmapped Data Model Objects (DMOs) Analytics Q&A is unavailable for metrics based on unstructured DLOs, logical views, or unmapped DMOs.    
          Occasional Topic Selection Errors Agentforce may respond to queries outside the Analytics Q&A scope.   This behavior depends on the query context and is inherent to generative AI systems.

          Tableau Next Metadata API Limits

          These limits apply to the AnalyticsWorkspace, AnalyticsDashboard, and AnalyticsVisualization entities.

          • Tableau Next dashboards aren't currently viewable. All metrics are accessible.
          • Metrics must be followed using a desktop browser to be visible in the mobile app.
