          Maximum Application for B2C Commerce Promotions

          Limit how many times a promotion can apply per order using the maximum application limit.

          You can configure max applications for the following discount types:

          Promotion class Promotion type
          Product

          Without qualifying products

          With amount of qualifying products

          With number of qualifying products

          Buy X/Get Y

          Buy X for Total

          Shipping

          With amount of shipment merchandise total

          With number of qualifying products

          You can apply free shipping to only one shipment of a multi-shipment order. You can also limit the number of times a bonus discount is applied to an order.

          When the maximum application setting is used, it affects promotion priority rules.

          Maximum Application Limits for Choice of Bonus Product Discounts

          You can configure a maximum application for Choice Bonus Product discounts as follows:

          The maximum applications setting is only meaningful for product promotions with an amount of qualifying products.

          For example, you run the promotion, Buy 3 pairs of pants and get a choice of 1 bonus shirt. A shopper buys 12 pairs of pants and gets to choose four bonus shirts. In contrast, you run the promotion Buy $100 worth of widgets and a get a choice of 1 bonus shirt. A shopper buys $500 worth of widgets but only gets a single bonus shirt, not five.

          Example

          In this example, the maximum application limits how many free silk ties are shipped with an order.
