Storefront URLs are updated automatically when catalog data, library data, or URL settings are changed on the respective tabs. This job automatically updates your URLs every 3 minutes; or See the changes immediately.

          1. Click App Launcher App Launcher, and then select Merchant Tools | Site | SEO & Discoverability | URL Rules.
If you see the Search Support Preferences page instead of the URL Rules page General tab, navigate to Site Preferences | Storefront URLs> to enable the module.
          2. On the URL Rules page, General tab, view the following types of conflicts:
            • URL Generation Status
              • Category/Folder: Conflicts that result within your rules
              • Global Conflicts: Conflicts that result when category and folder mappings result in duplicates
              • Content and Product ID names: Conflicts that result from content URLs that contain content IDs that conflict with product IDs.
                Note
Note this report is automatically created when the page opens. The calculation caches and expires after 5 minutes on all instances except Production, where you trigger the calculation manually.
            • URL Search Refinements Status
              • Category/Folder Search Refinements Status: Conflicts that result from your search refinement values
              • Global Conflicts: Conflicts that result from your search refinement delimiter configuration for search refinement values

Global conflicts appear for the following cases:

            • Multiple occurring values in different search refinements, for example red as both color and brand
            • Search refinement values containing the delimiters dash and underscore
          3. Click a conflict link in the URL Generation Status table to investigate.

This report shows the status of the URL update process and conflicts that were detected and resolved during the last execution of the update process.

A details view opens, showing you information about the conflict and its resolution for each locale.

            Note
Note To view this information, click the respective tab, for example, Content URLs, and then click Validate.

For example, a conflicting URL for content: customer%20service, can show the following information:

Type ID Locale Conflicting URL Resolution
Folder My Customer Service default customer%20service customer%20service-1
              customer-service default   customer%20service-2
              My Customer Service en_US   customer%20service-1
              customer-service en_US   customer%20service-2

See URL Generation and Conflict Resolution.

          4. Click a conflict in the URL Search Refinement Status table to investigate.

For category or folder search refinement URLs conflicts, the respective tab opens. For example, the Catalog URLs tab opens, showing the Enabled Category Search Refinement values and conflict counts. For Global conflicts, however, conflict details appear on the General tab.

            1. On the respective Catalog URLs or Content URLs tab, click the conflict count value to view conflict details.
            2. A “Conflicting Values for 'Refinement'” section opens showing the conflicts that were detected and resolved during the last execution of the update process.
            3. Configure unique bucket display names and bucket refinement attribute's values across the catalog. Values that are the same as reserved keywords (for example, dw, _dw or s) result in a conflict.

For example, these are conflicting values for 'refinement color', showing conflicts by locale (default and en_US):

              default Refinement Value Resolution
                Black black-1 or black
                black black-2 or black
                blacK black-3 or black
              en-US Refinement Value Resolution
                Black black-1 or black
                black black-2 or black
            4. Click Apply to save your changes.
          5. Click a conflict in the xx to investigate.
Related product and content objects within SEO Product and Content URLs are identified with the ID appendix, for example, www.my-host.com/product-url-path/productOrContentID.html. Because there is no restriction that product IDs are different from content IDs, there can be unresolvable content resources, because the product resource is preferred. Using this conflict report, quickly identify such conflicts.
          6. If you change settings on the Catalog URLs, Content URLs, or Settings tab, and want to see the results immediately:
            1. Click the General tab.
            2. Click the Run Update Now button.
