The B2C Commerce Release Notes continue to provide information about new features and major feature enhancements.

          • Enhance Business Manager Efficiency with the New User Interface
The new Business Manager user interface (UI) is now the Business Manager default UI. The new UI provides a modern and efficient interface for administrators, merchandisers, and other Business Manager users. If needed, you can switch back to the classic UI by updating the UI preference. In Business Manager, select My Profile > Preferred UI style: Classic.
          • Find and Switch Apps and Modules with the Enhanced App Switcher
Use the enhanced Business Manager app switcher to search for apps and modules in Business Manager, and use keyboard navigation to browse through options.
          • Ensure Accurate Custom Attribute Values with Language Fallback
We updated MultiValueCustomAttributes to respect your language fallback settings. Now, if a custom attribute is requested in a language without a translation, and fallback is disabled, no value is returned. This ensures data accuracy.
          • Ensure Basket Validation for SCAPI Calls
The basket validation hook, dw.ocapi.shop.basket.validateBasket, is now triggered for both OCAPI and SCAPI calls.
          • Track Category Assignments in Change History
Use Business Manager's Change History to track assignments between storefront categories and sorting rules. This additional change history gives you a complete record of all changes. Now you can easily manage and audit your storefront configurations. Previously, category assignments to sorting rules were tracked in campaigns or AB-tests.
          • Set the Default for Include Vowels and Y to No for Coupon Codes
The default setting for generating coupon codes now excludes vowels and the letter Y. This change helps prevent system-generated coupon codes that are potentially offensive or confusing.
          • Optimize Page Designer Performance with Fingerprint Caching
Use a new caching mechanism for the fingerprint calculation in Page Designer. This change significantly reduces the load time for pages and components without visibility rules, enhancing the overall user experience.
          • Ensure Accurate Page Previews with Enhanced Hostname Handling
To generate accurate preview links, Page Designer now considers all configured hostnames in the Alias file. This avoids Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) issues with AJAX calls, and ensures that your storefront previews are reliable, consistent, and reflective of the live storefront experience. Previously, Page Designer used only the https-host from the alias file in Business Manager to decide which hostname to use for the preview link.
          • Secure Your Business Manager Import Export Access
Use the new Access_Customer_and Customerlist_Impex permission to restrict access to the customers and customer list in the Business Manager Import and Export module. The new permission is a site-specific functional permission that enhances data security and compliance. Now, only authorized users can import and export data.
          • Stream Logs to Third-Party Platforms for Enhanced Monitoring
Log Center now supports streaming logs to Dynatrace, SumoLogic, and AWS Elastic Cloud. This integration gives you access to more third-party log aggregation tools.
          • Updates To OCAPI and SCAPI APIs
This release introduces several enhancements to the Open Commerce API (OCAPI) and the Storefront Commerce API (SCAPI) to improve performance, and enhance developer experience.
