Which Salesforce Commerce Product Do I Have?

For information about designing a category structure, see Plan Your Category Structure.

          1. In the navigation sidebar, select a store from the Store dropdown.
          2. Select Merchandising | Categories.
          3. Click New.
          4. Enter a name for the category and an optional description.
          5. If you want this category to appear in a menu, select Show In Menu.

Category changes don’t take effect until you rebuild your search index.

          6. If you’re creating a subcategory, search for and select its parent category.
          7. Assign a sort order to the category or subcategory.
The sort order determines the order in which a category or subcategory appears on the navigation menu and in filters. Let's say you have three categories, Paint, Brushes, and Accessories, and you assign them 1, 2, and 3, respectively. Across the Multilevel Navigation Menu, Paint is listed first, Brushes second, and Accessories third. On results pages, the same order is used for results filters.
          8. Enter a code to identify the category.
          9. To assign products to the category, click Assign, select the products, and then click Next.
          10. Click Save, or click Save & New to continue creating categories.

To add a bestseller category in the Search Input component, enter the corresponding category ID. You can find the category ID in the URL of the category record page between “CategoryPage” and “View.”
