Customize the Shipping Section of Checkout in a Commerce Store
After you set up your shipping calculation service, use Experience Builder to customize
how you collect shipping details from your customers during checkout in a B2B store. You
can customize checkout only if your store uses custom checkout. If your store uses managed
checkout, you can’t customize the Checkout page.
Click the Shipping Address component to customize it.
Select whether to show only the customer’s default shipping address. For this
setting, if a registered customer has a saved shipping address set as their default,
it’s preselected in checkout. Customers can choose to edit it or add an address.
Edit the address list settings as needed.
(Optional) To collect a phone number, in the address form settings, select
Show shipping phone number field.
(Optional) If you select Require shipping phone number,
even customers with saved contact information can’t check out until they add a
shipping phone number. When a country code is provided, the shipping phone number is
formatted and validated according to that country's phone number standards. If no
country code is provided, the shipping phone number is validated according to US phone
number standards by default. To avoid validation errors, we recommend collecting a
country code along with the shipping phone number. See Add Billing and Shipping Addresses for Buyer Accounts
for a B2B Store.
Click the Shipping Method component to customize it.
If your store allows guest shopping, click the Contact
Information component to customize it.
This component is required if you’ve turned on guest access so you can collect name
and contact information from guest users. See Manage Guest Access to a B2B Store.
When registered users return to the checkout page, they only see their phone number
and email address in the Contact Information section.
(Optional) Click the Shipping Instructions component to
customize it. To let customers know the type of information to include, add placeholder
text to the properties.
