          Import and Export Commerce Data

          Import and Export Commerce Data

Import data, including products, product variations, and images, by uploading a CSV file. Perform other tasks while the import runs asynchronously. You can import up to 10,000 products with nine images each per session, though import times may increase with more images. We recommend using the CSV file import process, but for large imports, use Data Loader. You can also export data for up to 300,000 products to a CSV file.

          Tip
Tip For faster performance when importing to a Commerce site that uses nonenhanced CMS workspaces, we recommend importing images in a separate CSV file. First import a file that contains only product information and related entities. Then import a separate file that includes only the product IDs and images.

You can run one only Commerce import job, including category or product imports, at a time. If a Commerce import job is running, wait for it to complete or cancel it before starting a new import.

Using CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) triggers isn’t compatible with a CSV import.

          • Image Import for B2B Stores
Product images and attachments that customers see when visiting your store are typically linked to a Salesforce CMS workspace. Usually the images are stored on a host external to Salesforce. You can configure the external host as a trusted site for your org. If you don’t have a CMS workspace, create one before beginning the import.
          • Default Import Records for a B2B Store
When you create a store, several required records are created by default. The only default record that you can delete is the category.
          • Import Data Using a CSV File to a Commerce Store
Import up to 10,000 products and related entities in bulk using a CSV file. Use the imported products in your B2B stores.
          • Import Using Data Loader
We recommend that you use the CSV data import file to import data into the Commerce app. The commerce import file maintains the correct relationships between commerce objects and supports importing up to 10,000 products with nine images each, along with the required updates to records in related objects. Typically, more than 50,000 updates are required to related objects for 10,000 imported commerce products. However, if you want to bulk import more than 10,000 products with nine images each, you can use the Salesforce Data Loader tool.
          • Export Commerce Data for B2B Stores
Export up to 300,000 products to a CSV file. Only product columns, including product variations, are included in the export. Large exports can result in more than one CSV file. Filters and sorting applied to the product workspace are reflected in the export file. All product fields, both standard and custom, that appear in the workspace are included in the export file.
