Product Bundles and Sets for B2B Stores
Group products together in bundles or sets to increase sales, manage your inventory, and offer customers convenient buying options and savings. A product bundle is a collection of complementary products purchased under one SKU. The bundle’s parent product and child products are shown together on the product page under one price. A product set is a collection of related products displayed to shoppers. Each child product is priced separately. A shopper can add all the products to the cart in a single operation or selectively add individual products. Bundles and sets work for most B2B stores without any administrative setup.
Which Salesforce Commerce Product Do I Have?
- Prepare Your Commerce Store to Sell Product Bundles and Sets
To sell product bundles and sets, you add the Child Components related list to the Product object’s page layout. If you’ve set up your store using the Commerce Setup Assistant or created product sets before, the related list is already added. You then create a product relationship type for both bundles and sets. Most stores already have the product relationship types created. For out-of-the box product bundle support, your store must have the Cart Calculate API enabled. - Considerations for B2B Commerce Product Bundles and Sets
A Commerce product bundle or set is a simple product that can contain simple products and variation products as child products. When you have bundles or sets and run Product Readiness for your catalog, Commerce checks for different product scenarios related to the parent and child products. Certain scenarios limit readiness. Before you create and configure a product bundle or product set for your store, keep these considerations in mind to increase readiness and support for other features, like search. - Create a Product Bundle for a Commerce Store
A product bundle is a collection of complementary products purchased under one SKU. The bundle’s parent product and child products are shown together on the product page under one price. The bundled products become one product. For example, you create the “Work From Home Desktop Bundle” with a desktop monitor, keyboard, mouse, and monitor stand as the child products. The “Work From Home Desktop Bundle” is the bundle’s parent product. You set the price for the bundle at the parent level and price the “Work From Home Desktop Bundle” at $199.99 even though the individual child products are sold separately: desktop monitor priced at $129.99; keyboard priced at $39.99; mouse priced at $15.99; and monitor stand priced at $29.99. The “Work From Home Desktop Bundle” displays all of the individual child products to shoppers under the price of the bundle’s parent product. - Create a Product Set for a Commerce Store
A product set is a collection of related products displayed together on the product page. Each child product is priced separately. A product set doesn’t have its own price. A shopper can add all the products to the cart in a single operation or selectively add individual products. For example, you create the “Work From Home” product set that includes a desktop monitor, laptop stand, wireless mouse, keyboard, standing desk, and office chair. The product set displays all of these products together on your store, but each product is priced separately. Customers can select which products they want to add to the cart or add the whole set, but purchasing all of the products in the set doesn’t afford your customers any savings. - Create Subscription Product Bundles in Your B2B Commerce Store
Bundle related digital subscription products together as a single SKU. Specify a parent product for the bundle, and add child products to the bundle. Also specify the price of the bundle. At present, you can bundle only digital subscription products. - Configure the Subscription Product Bundle
After you've created your subscription product bundle, configure the bundle from the bundle's record page.
