Reduce "no results found" errors by enabling buyers to locate products using incomplete
or unformatted SKUs. For example, buyers can search for a product with SKU "SKU:123-57-ABC" by
entering "ABC", "57-AB", "1235", or "123-5". The search query matches the terms buyers enter to
parts of the SKU, ignoring hyphens, underscores, spaces, periods, or slashes.
If partial SKU search is enabled, buyers can find products without typing the whole SKU.
Buyers see results after entering three characters, and the system can match up to 12
characters.
In the navigation sidebar, select a store from the Store
dropdown.
Select Settings | Search.
Click the Additional Settings tab
Under the Search section, enable Partial SKU Search.
To ensure accurate searches, store SKU values in either the Product Code or Product SKU
fields in the Product Object. See Product Fields .
