Reduce Entitlement Checks for Faster Search Results in B2B Commerce Stores

User entitlement checks are run as part of a search index update and also when retrieving search results. Though applying both entitlement checks ensures the most accurate information is provided in Search query results, you can get faster search performance by skipping the second entitlement check.

Required Editions

  1. In the navigation sidebar, select a store from the Store dropdown.
  2. Select Settings | Search.
  3. Click the Additional Settings tab.
  4. In the Performance section, click the pencil next to Skip Entitlement Checks During Search, and select the checkbox.
  5. Save your changes.

After disabling the second entitlement check, update the search index to ensure that the data is up to date. Changing entitlements and not updating the search index results in mismatched data and can produce inaccurate results.
