          B2B Store Setup Considerations

The Commerce Setup Assistant and the Store Setup Assistant work together to create a guided path for store creation. This path is simplified to get you up and selling as fast as possible. However, you can customize a store for your specific needs by configuring locales, languages, and currencies. If you haven’t configured these before creating your store, only the default options configured for your Salesforce org show. You can update these values after creating your store.

          Locale Information

To configure the list of available countries, see Enable State and Country Picklists.

Configure additional languages in the Translation Workbench. When you create a store using the Commerce Setup Assistant, the default language that you selected becomes the default language in Experience Builder. If you change the default language later, you can manually update the default language in Experience Builder.

The currencies available at store creation are the currencies that are enabled in your org. See Enable Currencies.

          Site and URL Naming Conventions

Consider these best practices for your store's name and URL.

          • If you’re creating more than one selling channel, differentiate the beginning of each name by business unit, region, or other distinction.
          • Users can see up to 32 characters of the name in the global header dropdown menu.
          • The URL for your store is a string added to your Salesforce domain name for digital experiences. For example, if your domain is MyDomainName.my.site.com, and you enter jewelry in the URL field, your store URL is MyDomainName.my.site.com/jewelry.

You can also create a custom URL.

          Default Entities

After you finish the guided store setup, your store is created with these default entities.

          • A store catalog with one product category
          • A store buyer group with an entitlement policy
          • A store price book and store strikethrough price book
          • An enhanced CMS workspace and a public channel that connects the store to that CMS workspace

You can create and assign different records, but you can’t delete the default entities, except for the product category.

If something goes wrong during store creation, the default entities aren't created and you must create them manually.
